Clinical Massage

Clinical Massage is a specific form of massage therapy that uses Swedish and deep tissue techniques to address specific areas of concern. Clinical massage is often used to treat conditions such as chronic pain, muscle tension, and repetitive strain injuries. We will tailor the massage to the individual’s needs, using both light and deep pressure to release muscular tension and promote relaxation. Clinical massage can be an effective treatment for many common conditions, and it is often used in conjunction with other therapies such as physiotherapy or chiropractic care. If you are interested in trying clinical massage, be sure to book an appointment.

Clinical Massage Therapy is collaboration on Swedish massage and manual manipulation of soft tissue. Some of the components are touch  to the skin, underlying tissue, and soft tissue mobilization.

Massage therapy can be utilized in many different ways. Sometimes its stress relief, reducing chronic headaches or sports related injuries, scar tissue reduction, or helping improve range of motion, posture correction, or to help that clicking/snapping in your jaw.

There are things that your Massage Therapist can treat that most people don’t even think about!

Certified Ashiatsu

Certified Ashiatsu therapists use their bare feet to deliver deep compressions, long gliding strokes and or assisted stretching. The name “Ashiatsu” originates from the Japanese words “ashi” (foot) and “atsu” (pressure). Ashiatsu is often referred to as “walking on back.” Certified Ashiatsu therapists are trained in barefoot massage techniques that provide a deep, relaxing and therapeutic experience. Certified Ashiatsu therapists must complete an extensive training program and pass a rigorous certification process and use a variety of strokes and pressure point techniques to provide a customized massage for each client and therapists are able to manipulate the tissue with precision and accuracy. Cupping

Cupping is a technique whereby a vacuum is created in the cup, drawing the skin up into the cup separating the layers of fascia. The vacuum effect draws the blood to the area.  As the new blood rushes to the individual levels it helps to remove stagnation that may have been present.

It allows for a unique approach to affect deeper tissue, increasing circulation, range of motion and moving of  fluids.
